Head of Transportation, Opensky

We have a network of reliable partners. HK is one of them.

- How do you work with your carriers?

Opensky is a large company specializing in the manufacture of joinery. Our service providers have to be able to adapt to our way of working. We send out several dozen 24-ton truckloads a day, half for France, half for export. For deliveries, we work with an internal freight exchange system. Having access to our deliveries, carriers interested in a batch position themselves and set a price. We take the most interesting: a combination of the most reliable and the least expensive. My objective as head of the transport department is to deliver to the customer; the company's objective is to have the best cost!

- What are the selection criteria?

The door is open to everyone. We have our specifications to sign, our safety protocol to accept, we have to adhere to the system and then we start working. And then we'll see. An unreliable carrier can bid all he wants, but he won't get anything. At the same time, this system allows us to make an almost natural selection, based not on a company's reputation or size, but on its capabilities and performance. HK came in, tested our system and was tested by us on the quality and cost of its services. It has proved its worth!

- What do you think of HK's work?

We've been working with HK for a year now. Through our platform, we work with around 1,500 carriers, with the top 100 accounting for 90% of volumes, and the top 50 for 75%. We have a network of reliable partners, both in terms of cost and efficiency. HK is one of them. This company does some 50 shipments a month, which is not bad! If they work with us on a regular basis, it's because we're satisfied, both in terms of prices, which are fairly competitive, and in terms of reliability. Their process (order tracking, etc.) shows that the company is serious. If I ask for information and it arrives very quickly, it's because the carrier is a guarantee of quality. This is the case with HK!
