- When do you call on HK's services?
We use HK for urgent deliveries: this concerns inbound flows, i.e. mainly goods from our suppliers. For the most part, these shipments are carried out nationally, and sometimes in Europe. Half of the jobs entrusted to HK are related to our emergencies, and the other half concern supplier delays - the latter are often destitute and don't know any really reliable couriers, so we organize transport for them via HK.
- What do you appreciate about HK working methods?
Whatever we ask, there's always a solution! Our contacts at HK have never said to us: "We can't do it". Reliability is perfect. I remember an anecdote from over ten years ago: one Friday evening, I asked them for a pick-up in Portugal. During the night, they picked up parts from the home of one of our factory employees, enabling delivery by air on Saturday morning! These are things you don't forget. Another positive point is communication. With HK, traceability is complete. We are told exactly when the goods were picked up, and we know exactly to whom they were handed over.
- What does this mean for your company?
In my career, I've known other companies where the shipment left on delivery and there was no way of contacting anyone to find out where the goods were. With HK, this kind of mishap is unlikely to happen: when you place your order, they give you an arrival time. And you know you can trust them: to within 5 or 10 minutes at most, the schedule is respected. If there's a problem, we'll call you to tell you that the driver is stuck in a traffic jam. Our contacts at HK are very good. You get the feeling that they realize that when you call on them, it's the last resort to avoid stopping the production line... It's a very reassuring process!
